A little bit about me…
My name is Ann and I like the old saying: “nothing ventured, nothing gained”.
I love to try new things, but you might not hear about my ventures if they are not successful. I thought about that and decided that I would try to be more open about my failures, since we often learn more from the things that don’t work out.
My most cherished activity is spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren.
I am a Master Gardener since 2001. My gardens were featured on the annual garden tour that year in Madison County, IN, and I have logged almost 1000 volunteer hours in the community. I also manage the Madison County Master Gardener website.
I am also a quilter, having completed several quilts since taking a class a few years ago with my friends, Nan and Carolyn. I belong to the Redbud Quilt Guild and the Evening Star Quilt Guild, both of Anderson, IN. I also maintain the Evening Star Quilt Guild website.
Motorcycling is a fairly recent activity for me, although I rode with my husband for many years before learning to ride my own. I joined the Motor Maids in 2010. It is the oldest women’s riding organization still active in the country, and I have attended 2 national conventions. I help maintain the Indiana Motor Maids website.
I also belong to the Muddobbers Motorcycle Club, an organization that my husband, Jeff, has been involved with since our 2 boys were small and riding dirt bikes. They hold several events each year, including hare scrambles, dual sport rides, family enduros and a national enduro. I usually help with scoring the events and sometimes work a check. I also manage the club’s website and mailing lists.
